Opportunity Pipeline

In 2014, SIPS funded Marzena Zukowska (SFS ’12 )’s project Opportunity Pipeline, which equipped immigrant youth from underprivileged backgrounds with the skills needed to pursue careers in social innovation. Opportunity Pipeline’s mission was rooted in the goal of increasing the presence of individuals from minority backgrounds in the American social enterprise sector. Opportunity Pipeline worked with first generation immigrants in Washington, D.C. to develop skills that would help them in the workplace by offering fellowships for high-potential freelancers from diverse backgrounds and coordinating a national network of mentors across industries.
