The SIPS Executive Committee (EC) (new window) consists of directors, deputy directors, and project managers. EC members work together to provide the best resources for students engaging in socially innovative projects. The Executive Committee meets weekly and runs through various agenda items including potential partnerships, upcoming Board meetings, and applicants in the project pipeline. Together, the EC ensures that SIPS is providing the resources necessary for students to engage in socially innovative projects or public service opportunities, whether here in the U.S. or abroad.
All of our positions are federal work study eligible.
Directors – We currently have 6 Director positions: Executive Director, Managing Director, Finance Director, Outreach Director, Internal Operations Director, and Impact Analysis Director. Directors support the general operations of SIPS as well as launch and manage new initiatives within their domains.
Deputy Director – Deputy Directors shadow and support Directors who will be graduating within the current school year. Deputy Directors then take over the respective Director position the following school year. This position serves as a training experience for Deputy Directors where they can learn the skills required of their future position and plan initiatives they wish to develop in the upcoming semesters.
Project Managers – Project Managers work directly with our awardee candidates throughout the semester to help increase the viability of their projects and ultimately pitch said project to the SIPS Board in order to secure funding.
