Dancing and Queerness

This 2017 project, centered in Belize, utilized SIPS funding to embrace and explore LGBTQIA+ identities through dance and discussion. Vance Vaughan (SFS’19) and Chris Morris worked in partnership with NGO Belize Youth Empowerment for Change (BYEC) to connect with fifteen at-risk LGBTQIA+ youth. The project also worked to help improve the operations of BYEC in areas such as HIV testing advocacy and impact evaluation.
