Sustainable Oceans Alliance

In 2017, SIPS funded the Sustainable Oceans Alliance Summit that takes place at Georgetown and aims to bring light to oceanic issues. Established by Daniela Fernandez (MSB’17) & Elena Itameri (COL’18), Georgetown’s Sustainable Oceans Alliance (SOA) promotes ocean health and sustainability by by encouraging the development of impactful business, technology, and legislation. The annual SOA Oceans Summit spotlights innovation in these fields and discusses current events and issues related to ocean threats. SOA connects leaders and youth around the world who are passionate about protecting the oceans, creating a network which is able to affect powerful change. Visit their website to learn more!
