Gashora Girls Academy for Science and Technology

In the summer of 2019, Lily McMorrow (COL ‘20) worked at the Gashora Girls Academy for Science and Technology (GGAST) in Rwanda. GGAST makes science education available to girls in Rwanda and sets them up with opportunities to access college education abroad.

As a GU Impact Fellow, Lily undertook a storytelling initiative which aimed to produce a platform that current, previous, and future GGAST students could contribute to. The initiative helped strengthen the connection between the opportunity of education and the value of giving back to the Gashora community.
